By downloading, installing, or using the AdShield mobile application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not install or use the app.

1. License Grant

AdShield grants you a personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and limited license to download, install, and use the application on mobile devices owned or controlled by you, strictly in accordance with these Terms.

2. Permitted Use

You agree to use AdShield only for lawful purposes. You shall not:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the application.
  • Modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works based upon the application.
  • Rent, lease, lend, sell, redistribute, or sublicense the application.
  • Use the application to interfere with or disrupt the network services of others.

3. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights, including copyrights, trademarks, patents, and trade secrets, in the application (including but not limited to the brand name "AdShield", the logo, and design layouts) are owned by the developers. The application is licensed, not sold, to you.

4. Filtering Disclaimer

AdShield relies on public DNS blocklists (such as Hagezi and OISD) to filter network traffic. While we select lists aimed at high blocking accuracy and low false-positive rates, we cannot guarantee that the lists are 100% complete, error-free, or up-to-date. You acknowledge that some advertisements may not be blocked, and some legitimate websites may be accidentally filtered. You can manage false positives by configuring your personal Whitelist in the application.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall AdShield developers be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential damages (including, but not limited to, loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption) arising in any way out of the use or inability to use this application, even if advised of the possibility of such damage.

6. No Warranty

The application is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including, but not limited to, warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

7. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of your local jurisdiction, and you irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that state or location.
