1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you", or "your") and the developers of XLSX Reader ("we", "us", or "our"), governing your access to and use of the XLSX Reader mobile application (the "App") on iOS (Apple App Store) and Android (Google Play Store).
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App, you signify that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use or install the App and should uninstall it immediately.
2. License Grant & Permitted Usage
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use the App for personal or internal business purposes on mobile devices that you own or control.
You agree NOT to:
- Decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the App.
- Modify, translate, adapt, or create derivative works based upon the App.
- Rent, lease, lend, sell, sublicense, distribute, or otherwise commercially exploit the App binary or assets.
- Circumvent or disable any security features, DRM protections, or in-app purchase verification systems.
3. User Content & Intellectual Property
Your Content Belongs to You: The App allows you to open, view, calculate, edit, and export spreadsheets (.xlsx, .xls, .csv) and PDF files ("User Content"). You retain all rights, title, and interest in and to your User Content.
Local Processing: All spreadsheet calculations, formula evaluations, editing, and conversions are conducted entirely locally on your device. We do not host, view, upload, or transmit your spreadsheet contents to any external servers.
App Intellectual Property: The App, including its visual design, UI layouts, icons, source code, and branding, is the proprietary property of the developers and is protected by applicable intellectual property and copyright laws.
4. In-App Purchases & VIP Upgrades
The App offers optional In-App Purchases (such as "Remove Ads VIP" or "Lifetime Premium") to unlock an ad-free experience and additional convenience features.
- Billing: In-App Purchases are billed through the respective platform provider (Apple App Store or Google Play Store) via your Apple ID or Google Account. Payment is charged upon confirmation of purchase.
- One-Time / Lifetime Purchases: Unless explicitly stated as a recurring subscription, VIP upgrades are one-time payments providing lifetime access to ad-free usage on devices tied to your account.
- Restore Purchases: You may restore your previously purchased VIP status at any time using the "Restore Purchases" button located in the App Settings.
- Refunds: All refund requests are subject to the terms and policies of the respective app marketplace (Apple or Google). We do not directly handle or process refunds.
5. Advertisements & Third-Party Services
The free version of the App displays third-party advertisements served by Google AdMob. These advertisements help keep the core features of the App free for everyone.
Third-party ad networks may collect device identifiers and usage metrics in compliance with privacy regulations (such as GDPR, CCPA, and Apple App Tracking Transparency). You may remove all ads at any time by purchasing the VIP upgrade.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
While we strive for high accuracy in spreadsheet parsing and formula evaluations, we do not guarantee that the App will be completely error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with all third-party spreadsheet macros or complex custom extensions. You are advised to maintain regular backups of important files.
7. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE DEVELOPERS OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA LOSS, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, OR FILE CORRUPTION ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP.
8. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your license to use the App at any time without notice if you breach any provision of these Terms. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the App and delete all copies from your devices.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update or modify these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the App following the posting of changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
10. Governing Law & Contact Us
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer resides, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
